I’m Laura Burton, a USA TODAY bestselling author and the founder of a seven-figure publishing and ecommerce company.

I sell books across Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon and Temu. I run my own bookstore, warehouse, studio and event space. I work directly with printers and manufacturers, create special editions, and sell books for select authors through my own channels.

And for the right authors, mentorship can lead to something bigger.

I actively look for authors I believe have strong potential in the physical book market.

When I find one, I may choose to invest in their business myself.

That can mean paying for a special edition print run, selling those books through my own store and marketplaces, paying the author royalties, and helping them build their own Shopify store and physical-product side of their business.

In other words, I’m not only teaching authors how to sell physical books.

I’m actively looking for authors I may want to work with.

There are no guarantees, and mentorship does not automatically lead to a publishing or distribution partnership.

But if I see a strong backlist, great branding, a clear market and books I believe I can sell?

That conversation may happen.
